  • Chairman Glenn Denny
    Mr. Denny is a musician and business owner. He runs a recording studio in the Historic Leaksville Shopping District and is also a member of the Eden Minority Business Association.
  • Vice-Chairman Tim Biggs
    Tim Biggs is owner of Jerry’s Restaurant in the Draper Village area of Eden. He is also a festival vendor. It was Tim’s inspiration to hold the Shaggin’ on Fieldcrest event in Eden based on the success of a similar event in Hillsville, VA.
  • Secretary Steve Smith
    Steve is President of KNGS Financial Consulting of Draper Village and a member of its merchants association.
  • Treasurer Randy Hunt
    Randy is the President of the Eden Chamber of Commerce. He has held several positions in Eden and Rockingham County, specifically working for Boss Motors and Consumer Finance.
  • Assistant Executive Director Cindy Adams
    Cindy has been the Coordinator of Special Events and Tourism since the position was established in 2008 and spent more than 18 years with the Eden Chamber of Commerce as Administrative Assistant and President. She was responsible for RiverFest becoming a Top 20 event in the southeastern U.S. for September of 2011 by the Southeastern Tourism Society.
  • Board Member-Tom Barbour
    Tom owns Barbour Studio and Gallery on Washington Street and was a founding Board member of the Eden Downtown Development Corporation. His wife Maryann runs the hand-crafted jewelry business called Beadful Things in the same building.
  • Board member Jim Burnette
    Mr. Burnette is the appointed Eden City Council representative on the board. He is a retired Chemist with Duke Energy.
  • Board member Kelly Dickerson
    Kelly is the owner of The Rack Clothing Boutique on Washington Street.
  • Executive Director Mike Dougherty
    Mr. Dougherty assumed the City’s Director of Business Development position in 2002. That position has changed to Director of Economic Development. He is the Main Street Manager, recruits commercial businesses, supports existing industry, recruits new industry and has coordinated a number of special projects, including the Eden All-America City Award and Eden Community Resource Center.
  • Board member Hope Gilley
    Hope Gilley, a native of Eden, NC, is a 2005 graduate of J.M. Morehead High School.  She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Wingate University in 2009 with a bachelor's degree in finance, earned a Master's degree in accounting in 2012.  She is employed as a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones Investments. 
  • Board member Sarah Griffith
    Sarah is a professional photographer and member of the Osborne Baptist Church, one of the Piedmont Triad’s largest churches.
  • Board member Jean Harrington
    Ms. Harrington is the owner of a historic home located in the heart of the Historic Leaksville Shopping District and an owner of multiple properties in this downtown area. Ms. Harrington’s commitment to the downtown extends to providing a building for the Eden Historic Museum.
  • Board Member Chris Higgs
    Chris is an Eden native working for Fair Funeral Home and North Star Realty. He graduated from Morehead High school in 2005 then went on to earn my business administration degree from Lee University in 2010.
  • Board member Mike Quickel
    Mike was employed as a designer for Karastan Rug Mill before retirement. Currently, he is part owner of Johnson’s Florist and Antiques in the Historic Leaksville Shopping District.
  • Board member Philip Raeburn
    Phil is the Recreation and Family Ministries Director at Osborne Baptist Church. He is responsible for our sports programming and several outreach ministries, including our Friendship Ministry designed for special needs adults. Philip is an NC State graduate who came to the church staff after working with the local YMCA.
